TRANSCONA HISTORIC WALKING TOURS

Discover the history and culture of Transcona with our guided and self-guided tours, developed by the Transcona Museum. Walking tours are only available in English at this time.

Social Distancing Notes: Pre-registration for the guided walking tours is required, as we have limited the number of tickets available (max. 6) for each tour to ensure social distancing. Masks are recommended, social distancing will be enforced, and hand sanitizer is available. Staff use a microphone and speaker system to ensure participants can hear us during the tour while maintaining proper social distancing.

A HISTORY OF REGENT AVENUE | Self-Guided

A self-guided tour of Regent Avenue, Transcona's old business district. This tour takes approx. 30 minutes and includes 20 buildings and sites of interest located along Regent Avenue from Winona Street to Kanata Street.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN TRANSCONA | Guided

A guided tour of historic Downtown Transcona. This tour takes approx. 1 hour 15 minutes and includes 34 buildings and sites of interests located along Regent Avenue West, Victoria Avenue, Bond Street, and Day Street. 

This tour is offered on Thursdays, July and August from 11 am - 12:15 pm. 

Registration is required prior to the start of the tour. Registration is free. Payment is due when you arrive for the tour. Tickets prices are Adults & Seniors - $5 / Youth (ages 4-12) - $3 / Children (ages 0-3) - Free / Members get a 10% discount. Contactless payment is preferred.

MURALS OF TRANSCONA | Guided

A guided tour that showcases a collection of outdoor murals in Downtown Transcona. This tour takes approx. 1 hour and features 20 historic and contemporary murals painted over the past 30 years.

This tour is offered on Thursdays, July and August from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. 

Registration is required prior to the start of the tour. Registration is free. Payment is due when you arrive for the tour. Tickets prices are Adults & Seniors - $5 / Youth (ages 4-12) - $3 / Children (ages 0-3) - Free / Members get a 10% discount. Contactless payment is preferred.
