The Transcona Historical Museum preserves an impressive collection of over 800 clothing and textiles articles from Transcona residents. The collection consists of military uniforms from the Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force as well as military accessories including helmets, webbing, haversacks, pins, medals, and badges; conductor, trainsmen and baggage carriers uniforms from the Canadian National Railways; girl guide and scout uniforms from organizations which have always had a prominent influence on Transcona's close knit community; and sports team uniforms (which date from the 1930s to 1940s) from the Transcona Cardinals and Transcona Jays women's baseball team, the Transcona Trojans men's baseball team and the Transcona Nationals rugby team.

Other clothing articles found in the Transcona Historical Museum's collections include women's garments ranging from everyday fashions to formal occasion wear. Garments include evening, wedding, and day dresses; bodices; shawls; and intimate wear, which date back from the 1880s to present. Ladies' accessories include hats, hatpins, fans, muffs, handbags, purses, gloves and jewellery items such as brooches, bracelets, and earrings. Men's clothing examples include casual everyday wear such as shirts, vests, jackets, pants, coats and carrack coats as well as formal wear outfits such as tuxedos. Men's accessories include hats, collars, collar cases, ties, gloves, cufflinks, and armbands.

In addition, numerous textiles and household accessories such as lace collars and cuffs, aprons, doilies, table runners, tea cozies, crazy quilts, samplers, and more are part of the Museum's collection.
